The open letter calling for ending free speech to save the planet from global warming accuses social media, broadcast and publishing companies of being “enablers to planetary destruction” for allowing dissenting views and demands that governments step in and crack down. The groups call on “governments worldwide to take immediate and decisive action” and urge that “those responsible must be held accountable.” Or free speech will destroy the planet. The transformation of the medieval world into the modern world came about with the idea that man could and should transform his lot in life. The liberal individualism of the Enlightenment however was soon countered by reactionary movements, feudal and socio-feudal, seeking to put the genie of individual autonomy back in the box through collectivist movements. The media spent months pre-hyping Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris. In its aftermath, stories claimed that the lip-synching sensation’s Instagram post drove half a million fans to not only buy overpriced merchandise, but to register to vote in the 2024 election. The Kamala campaign embraced ‘Brat’ branding based on an album from a British half-Muslim pop star few Americans ever heard of. It brought out Beyonce to campaign (crucially not to sing) for Kamala who had tried to model her fanbase, the KHive, on Beyonce’s rabid Beyhive fans. Kamala brought Oprah and Lady Gaga to Philly and Katy Perry to Pittsburgh. Julia Roberts cut an ad telling women to hide their votes from their husbands. In Michigan, white wife-killing enthusiast rapper Eminem headlined a Kamala rally while Obama rapped the opening of his ‘Lose Yourself’ (unintentionally revealing that he’s just as authentically black as Eminem.) It is no coincidence that both of the Democratic Party’s ‘black’ presidential nominees were not black Americans, but the children of radical third world students who appropriated the rhetoric of the civil rights movement to get ahead, without having any actual history or part in it.
