Feminism Under the Sea

On September 14, 2021, two Polish female professors headed to the Great Salt Lake in Utah to marry some brine shrimp in an ecosexual wedding. Presided over by Bonnie Baxter PhD, a biology professor at Westminster University in nearby Salt Lake City, the two Polish professor brides in clinging wedding dresses approached holding hands and together with the rest of the wedding party which included a sexologist and Elizabeth Stephens, the chair of UC Santa Cruz’s Art Department, who helped create the ‘Ecosexual’ movement, went into the lake to marry the shrimp through an exchange of psychic vows. As bizarre as the officially titled ‘Cyber Wedding to the Brine Shrimp’ might seem, it involved the collaboration of academics from at least four universities, and sponsorship by the Polish Cultural Institute of New York, which operates under the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. What might seem like mental illness is by now a well-established academic field under the aegis of the environmental...

We Hate Them. Why Won’t They Vote for Us?

Toxic Masculinity is on the Ballot “Toxic masculinity is on the ballot.” That was the accidentally insightful headline of a column on an Ohio news site. Toxic masculinity was indeed on the ballot. But in a whole other way. Gen Z men who had spent much of their lives being told that there was something wrong with them went out and voted for Trump. The cultural seismic shock waves of losing the male half of the youth are still rippling through the leftists who had long written off those same men. The young men who voted for Trump attend high schools with ‘Healthy Masculinity’ classes and clubs which tell them that “the Man Box does not allow us to be fully human” and urges boys “to achieve their full human potential, free from restrictive masculinity.” To be a boy is bad, but to be a man is even worse. College comes with mandatory sessions on consent and equity. White men in any classes less rigorous than math or science are there to be used as bad examples of privilege. Nearly any coll...

What Alice’s Restaurant Tells Us About Trump’s Win

On Thanksgiving, 1965, Arlo Guthrie, an 18-year-old leftist singer songwriter, went to a local Massachusetts landfill only to find it closed and instead dumped some trash on a hillside. The event inspired ‘Alice’s Restaurant’, Guthrie’s anti-war song which gets played every Thanksgiving. The recent death of Alice Brock, the inspiration for the titular Alice, ahead of Thanksgiving inspired a rash of new stories about the song and ensures its relentless airplay over the holiday weekend. But the real relevance of the song doesn’t come from the Thanksgiving weekend or Alice’s death, but Trump’s resounding victory earlier in November. And the aging liberal boomers and a younger cohort with no clue about the song understand all too little what it really says about the modern Left. The same lefties smirking at Officer Obie busting a young Arlo for dumping garbage at the bottom of a cliff (actually a hillside) would applaud as EPA stormtroopers rampaged through the home of anyone daring to not...

Hating Thanksgiving

It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without turkey, long lines, and people browsing their phones for Black Friday deals in which the products had their prices raised by 80% and then cut by 80% before being stealthily replaced by Amazon with identical looking Chinese knockoffs. And it also wouldn't be Thanksgiving without the media launching another round of shots in its endless war on America with 'explainers' claiming that the Pilgrims were racist and that we should be ashamed of the holiday. (Axios even managed to slander Sarah Josepha Hale, an abolitionist who helped make Thanksgiving a national holiday (and wrote 'Mary had a Litte Lamb') by accusing her of racism.) After a week of agonizing over why America hates them and rejected their candidate, the media returned once more as a dog to its vomit to despising everything American and trying to destroy it. The point of the Thanksgiving story is not what eventually happened between the pilgrims and some of the local I...

The Gentle Art of Negotiating With Terrorists

The first rule of negotiating with Islamic terrorists is don’t. The second rule is if you do it, do it with heavy artillery. Islamic terrorists don’t negotiate. They make demands in hopes of securing concessions without actually giving up anything. Only the most dedicated historian could find an example of a negotiation process during which the Islamic terrorists made an actual concession, followed through on it and did not later take it back or turn right around and go back to terrorism. The most prominent counterexamples are the three decades of negotiations between Israel and Islamic terrorist groups which initially won a round of Nobel Prizes and then degenerated into an endless war during which the terrorists took back every concession they ever made, did not follow through on any of them and used Israeli concessions to become a much worse threat. Negotiating with the Taliban, Hezbollah, and Iran all had the same end result. Offering to negotiate with Islamic terrorists is a state...

Thought Police

On a Sunday morning, the Essex police showed up at the home of Telegraph columnist Allison Pearson to interrogate her because she had tweeted a photo of Manchester police officers posing with the Islamist Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, some of whose leading members were recently charged with terrorism offenses. Pearson’s crime, which resulted in the formation of a “gold group” normally used for dealing with major crimes, was tweeting “look at this lot smiling with the Jew haters” about the ugly photo. The Essex police claimed that “a complaint of a possible criminal offence was made” of “potentially inciting racial hatred online”. Criticizing the friendliness of the police with Pakistani “Jew haters” had become a “possible criminal offence” while Islamists hating Jews was not. According to the Essex police, “we police without fear or favour”. In truth, they appear to hardly police anything except speech. The Essex police have stopped answering calls about drug dealing and a Sun colum...

The Pope's Genocide Cowardice

Pope Francis recently implied that Israel was committing “genocide” in its campaign against Hamas. While the pope was eager to apply the term to Muslims terrorists dying in the war, he has been reluctant to apply it to Christians being massacred by Muslims in the Middle East. Over 50,000 Christians were massacred by Muslims in Nigeria. Dozens of churches were attacked, some on Christmas, without the pope ever condemning this as genocide. In 2016, after millions of Christians had fled Islamic violence in Nigeria, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Pakistan and much of the Muslim world, Pope Francis rejected calling it a genocide. “I want to say clearly that I do not like it when people speak of a ‘genocide of Christians,’ for example in the Middle East,” Pope Francis argued, and claimed that he preferred the term “martyrdom.” The pope’s comments were a retreat from his reaction a year earlier to the abduction and killing of priests in Syria when he declared it, “a form of genocide — I insist on t...

Censor the Internet to Save the Planet

“Governments Should Act Now to Curb Climate Disinformation” demands a letter backed by Greenpeace, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the Center for Countering Digital Hate, which has close ties to the British government, along with over 50 other organizations. The open letter calling for ending free speech to save the planet from global warming accuses social media, broadcast and publishing companies of being “enablers to planetary destruction” for allowing dissenting views and demands that governments step in and crack down. The groups call on “governments worldwide to take immediate and decisive action” and urge that “those responsible must be held accountable.” Or free speech will destroy the planet. Signatories to the censorship call also include the Union of Concerned Scientists, which would like to ban scientific debate, Avaaz, the radical Kairos Fellowship and Reporters Without Borders which started out protecting freedom of information, but now suppresses it. While green censo...

Socio-Feudalism’s War on the Individual

The transformation of the medieval world into the modern world came about with the idea that man could and should transform his lot in life. The liberal individualism of the Enlightenment however was soon countered by reactionary movements, feudal and socio-feudal, seeking to put the genie of individual autonomy back in the box through collectivist movements. Among the most prominent of these was what would eventually be called socialism. While early socialist movements had been a radical Christian heresy emphasizing communal living, these experiments invariably failed on a local level leaving behind a trail of wrecked lives. 19th century radical theorists began laying out plans for the communal transformations of entire societies. Fourier’s socialist ‘Phalanxes’ which would influence everything from Soviet communal farms to hippie communes in the U.S,. were feudal mass communities with no private property and everyone assigned a role in life under the rule of a centralized ‘omniarch’....

Meet the Gay Muslim Man Running the Women’s March

Ahead of Election Day, women wearing red Handmaid’s Tale costumes, rainbow scarves, and toting warning signs about their private parts rallied in D.C. for Kamala and abortion. The crowd was so small that the media hardly bothered reporting on the rallies. The Women’s March had come a long way since it claimed to have brought out millions to protest Trump in 2017. And the long way it had come was mostly down. In an early preview of the antisemitism controversies in today’s leftist movements, the March fell apart when its leaders were revealed to be bigots who hated Jews and supported the Nation of Islam But with Trump back, the Women’s March is back too. And the pre-election rallies are supposed to usher in much bigger post-election and post-inauguration rallies using the “power of diverse women” as part of “a women-led movement” to beat men and take back power for women. There’s one problem with the Women’s March: its chief of staff is a man. Aquib Shaheed Yacoob, the chief of staff of...
