Ten People Died Because of Pro-Crime 'Bail Funds'

Chengyan Wang was cleaning up at the Shanghai Taste restaurant when a robber broke in. Wang tried to fight back and was shot 11 times. The officer on the scene in Las Vegas said that the Chinese waiter “was bleeding all over his body and appeared as if he was going to die.” “I can still vividly remember when the first police officer on the scene immediately helped me stop the bleeding on my neck,” Wang recalled. “He was there the whole time encouraging me and making sure I stay awake and stay conscious and not fall asleep.” Wang credits his “second chance in life” to “God’s grace.” And he fought back, not only against the criminals, but against the wealthy interests that enabled the murderous attack on him. Rashawn Gaston-Anderson, the vicious thug who shot him, was only on the loose because a bail fund known as The Bail Project posted bond for him. The career criminal had been arrested a month earlier on weapons charges. In 48 hours he was arrested for burglary and larceny, and ple...

Eloi and Morlocks in Portlandia

9-year-old Hadar Kedem was playing with her father, brother, and family dog in a Portland city park when the gunmen came and the bullets began flying. “They huddled up into this group and we thought they were going to do a race or something, but instead they pulled out guns and started shooting and then I got really scared,” the little girl told the Portland City Council. “There was a bullet that shot like four or five feet away from my right..” The exchange of gunfire between over a dozen men was just one of the gang shootings that delivered Portland to what its police chief called a “grim milestone” of 1,000 shootings. Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and the police defunding movement had taken Portland from 388 shootings in 2019 to over 1,000 this year. Murders in Rose City rose by 83% breaking its previous high score set in 1987. As the Black Lives Matter race riots got underway, Portland went from 23 shootings in March 2020 to 104 by July of that same year. By March 2021, there were 93...

Portland Fights 1000% Increase in Murders With Unarmed Park Rangers

Shootings have more than doubled in Portland from 111 last year to 275 so far this year. Murders are also up from 2 to 25. That’s an increase of over 1000% for the prog utopia. Portland hit a quarter-century high last year with 55 murders. It’s on track for 100 in 2021. Things are so bad that Mayor Wheeler, who narrowly won reelection over the Antifa candidate after having his apartment building firebombed, pleaded with the City Council to pay for more cops. But the City Council had a better idea: unarmed park rangers with pepper spray. Wheeler had asked the Council for $2 million to put cops on the streets to stop the gunmen, but instead he’s getting $1.4 million to put unarmed park rangers to run from the gunmen. Or try to take them on with the awesome power of their pepper spray. Another $3.5 million will be tossed to the Council’s leftist “community group” allies. “This proposal is the kind of collaborative problem solving I expected from our historically diverse council where t...

The ISIS Propaganda to Kill Americans Was Coming From Near Portland

The year that the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Trump administration's Islamic terror state travel ban, an Iraqi member of ISIS applied for American citizenship. Hawazen Sameer Mothafar didn’t have much to worry about. Not only was he already living in the United States, but under political pressure, Iraq had been taken off the travel ban list. And no one would have suspected Mothafar of being an ISIS terrorist. He was in a wheelchair. When Mothafar was asked at his immigrantion interview this year whether he was involved with a terrorist organization, he must have thought it was a formality. But three months later, Mothafar was under arrest, charged with lying to a government agency, and aiding ISIS. Mothafar not only managed to get through an immigration interview while denying any terrorist ties, but he spoke in court through an Arabic translator, suggesting a poor grasp of English. Not only did our immigration system make an alleged ISIS member a citizen, but took an immi...

Escape from Portland

It was a big year in Portland where the murder rate rose 18.6%. That was the perfect time for Portland’s progressive politburo to spend over $1 million on unarmed cops armed only with pepper spray. There was a little bit of excitement when it was learned that their 200 hours of training would include “Taser Orientation” suggesting that they might be allowed to carry tasers. But Mayor Wheeler’s office explained that the weaponless cops weren’t being trained to use tasers, but “how to avoid being tased”. Portlanders aren’t waiting for officers to show up and shout, “Don’t tase me, bro”. Instead in a city overrun with crime, they’re increasingly taking matters and guns into their hands. Of the 32 violent deaths in Portland last year, 5 were found to have been carried out in self-defense. That tops the 4 deaths that occurred as a result of shootings by those cops who still have their guns. Richard R. Hanley showed up in the parking lot outside Timeless Tattoo. The California homele...

The Billion Dollar Homeless Scam

New York City will be spending $2.06 billion on its Department of Homeless Services. There are 61,421 homeless people in the city which is spending $33,539 per homeless person. That’s only a little short of the starting salary of an FDNY firefighter at $39,000. More money will be spent on the homeless than on the firefighters who save New Yorkers from burning buildings. The FDNY will have to make do with $2.04 billion, and the health department with $1.6 billion. That’s impressive for DHS, a department that was only created in 1993 by the disgraced Dinkins administration and is now burning through more cash than agencies fulfilling actual vital city functions. Two years ago, DHS had over 2,600 employees. That’s 1 employee to every 23 homeless people. Meanwhile 234 New Yorkers get only 1 police officer to serve and protect them from criminals. Has this vast infusion of cash solved homelessness in the city? Nope. New York’s homeless population has kept on growing unti...
