Mussolini and Saddam

We're getting a lot of finger wagging and tsk-tsking over Saddam's execution. Over him being taunted. Over video being posted of his execution. Let's contrast this with the execution of Mussolini. Mussolini was a far milder tyrant than Saddam. His treatment was far more brutal. And yet it was understood that this was right. The contrast to today, largely promoted by a treasonous media, is why we're losing the War on Terror. The same press that whines over terrorists at Gitmo being "incensed" because an interrogator squatted over a Koran or a female interrogator touching her fingers to a terrorist thus in his mind making him unclean, are the same ones who lead the howl fest over Abu Ghaib and now over Saddam's execution. Mind you these same reporters couldn't get at all worked up over Saddam's genocides. As usual their sympathy is with the enemy. Let's look back to WW2. Mussolini was captured, executed and hang upside down at a gas station. Exte

Man Forgets, G-d Remembers

At the end of Parshas Vayechi, also the end of all of Bereishis, Yosef gives his brothers the key, the password that will enable their descendants to recognize the man who will come to bring G-d's word that their redemption is at hand. Pakod Yifkod. G-d will remember you. Yet Yosef dies before his brothers. Why then is he the one given the signal to transmit when more logically it should have been one of the longer lived brothers. The answer to that question lies in Yosef's unique role. Of all the family he was the only one who had descended to Egypt as a slave. Only he was qualified to pass on the word to those who would be slaves that despite their suffering and enslavement, redemption would yet come...because he had lived it. He had gone from being a lowly imprisoned slave to the ruler of Egypt. No matter how much the Egyptians oppressed and degraded their Jewish slaves, his example would remain to tell them that one day the slaves would be masters again. The specific messa

New York Gets a Slimy New Consul

Aryeh Mekel, Israel's fairly effective consul in New York, is being removed to make way for a replacement, Olmert's own spokesman and media advisor, Asaf Shariv. Asaf Shariv back in Israel had worked to target journalists who wrote critical pieces about Olmert by leaking defamatory stories to the press about them. He of course has no diplomatic background but that's not the point. As a reward for his "service" another figure in the Kadima Mafia is being rewarded with a political appointment and his past service may fit him for a role similar to that practiced by Collette Avital who similarly collected information on opponents of the Oslo Accords and worked to silence them.

Terrorism-Stricken Gush Katif Family Denied Compensation

(99 percent of the time I write my own pieces but sometimes well there's nothing more to add and some things people must see for themselves.) ( Arutz 7 ) "Eliezer and Chana Bart lived in the Gush Katif community of Kfar Darom for over 18 years until they and their eight children were thrown out in accordance with Prime Minister Sharon's disengagement/expulsion plan. They have now been informed that as far as the government is concerned, they are not eligible for compensation. Chana was paralyzed in the lower half of her body in a terrorist shooting attack in 2002, and has been confined to a wheelchair ever since. Two years later - a day after Sharon's bombshell announcement of his plan to throw the 8,000 Jews of Gaza out of their homes - Chana and Eliezer celebrated the brit [ritual circumcision] of their week-old son. They named him Amichai [My Nation Lives] Yisrael. The scene of Chana carrying her baby to the brit in a wheelchair marked a poignant moment in Gush Kaif

Saddam May Be Dead but Cheer Up Palestinans

It seems a lot of people are down now that Saddam is dead. Particularly the Palestinian Arabs. "The execution of former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein sent many Palestinians into deep mourning Saturday as they struggled to come to terms with the demise of perhaps their most steadfast ally. During the first Gulf War in 1991, the Palestinians cheered Saddam’s missile attacks on Israel, chanting “Beloved Saddam, strike Tel Aviv,” as the Scud missiles flew overhead." Are you touched? Because I'm touched. So to help cheer up these lovely lovely people and as a public service to middle eastern stability, I've put up a short list of ways titled. ----------------Saddam May Be Dead but Cheer Up Palestinans-------------- 10. Saddam may be dead but cheer up Palestinians, he got his wish to be associated with a famous leader in an ancient middle eastern empire. Unfortunately the leader was Haman. 9. Saddam may be dead but cheer up Palestinians, progressive college students will n

Kadima Mafia Arrests Continue - Olmert's Secretary arrested, two heads of Tax Authority

The latest wave of arrests begins with Shula Zaken, Prime Minister Olmert's secretary and her brother Yoram Karashi on charges of granting tax breaks to their business contacts. Shula Zaken had worked with Olmert for 30 years and was described as "the power behind the throne."The director of the Israeli Tax Authority, Jackie Matza is already under arrest and continues to be held in custody. Jacky Matza was Sharon's appointee to the post. His predecessor in the same post, Eitan Rov, whose six figure salary had previously drawn outrage is another Sharon appointee who is also in custody. Raids have followed on a number of senior figures in the tax authority whose unification under the 2003 tax reforms has clearly produced a culture of corruption. These are some of the same figures responsible for screwing the residents of Gush Katif out of their last penny and working to deny them and the residents of the north who came under attack from Lebanon of their rightful compens

Nebuchadnezzar/Saddam

Today is the 10th of Tevet and a day of fasting for many religious Jews. It is the day that Nebuchadnezzar first began his seige of Jerusalem. And Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon. And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and encamped against it; and they built forts against it round about. (Jeremiah 52:3-4) It is interesting that one portrait of the infamous Saddam goes as follows: Saddam also portrays himself as the successor to Nebuchadnezzar. In 1979, he was quoted by his semi-official biographer as saying: “Nebuchadnezzar stirs in me everything relating to pre-Islamic ancient history. And what is most important to me about Nebuchadnezzar is the link between the Arabs’ abilities and the liberation of Palestine. Nebuchadnezzar was, after all, an Arab from Iraq, albeit ancient Iraq. … That is why whenever I remember Nebuchadnez

America and Israel: Winning the War that Can be Won and Losing the One that Can't

The only way for Israel and America to win the War on Terror is to just give up. Not give up winning the war but give up trying to grasp the moral high ground. We can either hold the strategic high ground or we can try to clamber up on the moral high ground. Holding the strategic high ground means that we are defending our nations and the world against a ruthless and genocidal enemy. In past times this would be considered the moral high ground as well but today holding the moral high ground means being the designated victim. The Jews were considered to be holders of the moral high ground after the Holocaust because we were the murdered who didn't do much in the way of fighting back against our murderers. As soon as we founded the State of Israel, we were informed that we had lost the moral high ground once we had begun to fight back against the 100 million Arabs determined to kill us. By resisting our murderers, we were told, we had become just another bunch of murderers. We are re

Parshas Vayigash - All Was As It Was Meant to Be

In Parshas Vayigash we have the famous double meaning of Agolot, Agolot both meaning literal wagons and Agolot also serving as a reference to the Eigel Arufah, the calf that has its neck, which was the last halacha Yosef studied with his father before his abduction and sale. But this reference was not chosen merely because it was the last halacha they studied and thus served as a sign from Yosef that he was who he said he was and that he had held on to his Torah learning, it also referenced the actual situation which called for Eigel Arufah. The brothers had taken Yosef's garment dyed in blood to assure their father that he was dead. As such they had become suspects in his murder. The Eglah Arufah is a public demonstration that they are not guilty of it. The recitation incorporates the ritual statement, Yadei Lo Shafchu Et Hadam Veinenu Lo Rainu. Our Hands have not shed this blood and our eyes have not seen it. When Reuven argues with the other brothers against killing Yosef, he sp

Tony Blair Express Admiration for Islam's Genocide of Christians

In his Foreign Affairs article Tony Blair, Prime Minister of England, New Dhimmiville and Craven Appeasement County and spewed the following. "To me, the most remarkable thing about the Koran is how progressive it is. I write with great humility as a member of another faith. As an outsider, the Koran strikes me as a reforming book, trying to return Judaism and Christianity to their origins, much as reformers attempted to do with the Christian church centuries later. The Koran is inclusive. It extols science and knowledge and abhors superstition. It is practical and far ahead of its time in attitudes toward marriage, women, and governance. Under its guidance, the spread of Islam and its dominance over previously Christian or pagan lands were breathtaking. Over centuries, Islam founded an empire and led the world in discovery, art, and culture. The standard-bearers of tolerance in the early Middle Ages were far more likely to be found in Muslim lands than in Christian ones

When You Blog About the Abyss, Sometimes the Abyss Comments on Your Blog - Rabbi Paul Arberman Threatens Me

Extremely bored readers of this blog might remember last tuesday's post dealing with Ynet's new non-Rabbi, Rabbi Paul Arberman brought in after their previous non-Rabbi, Rabbi Mordechai Gafni developed a little sexual abuse problem. Rabbi Paul Arberman decided the best Torah topic was to write a piece agitating for rapist Benny Sela's civil rights by comparing him to Yosef HaTzaddik. Google being the odd piece of software it is, turns out I rank rather highly on search results for Rabbi Paul Arberman thus possibly directing convicted rapists looking for a biblically based defense, Arab terrorists looking for someone to protect their weapons smuggling tunnels and liberal Rabbis trying to learn the guitar tabs to Blowin' in the Wind to my blog. Sometimes when you blog about the abyss, the abyss comments on your blog. I've had Rabbi Moshe Yess show up (another fellow who isn't a Rabbi but likes pretending to be one) and with Christmas over, Rabbi Paul Arberman sho

The Media's Pro-Terrorist Biased Reporting Moves on to Ethiopia

With headlines like "Ethiopian Forces Press Offensive Into Somalia" and "US Urges End To Fighting" and this bizarre entry from the Los Angeles Times, "Ethiopian offensive in Somalia Could Mirror Iraq War", it's clear the media has gotten bored with supporting the terrorists in Iraq and is busy supporting the terrorists in Somalia. Ethiopian forces were already in Somalia in order to support the Somali government and were responding to an attack on them by Islamic militia, but the media's headlines continue to imply that Ethiopia invaded Somalia and is acting aggressively, which is the typical way the media reports any conflict between Muslim terrorists and anyone else. The terrorists are always the victims and those defending against them always the aggressors, regardless of the real facts of the case. Barely does a war begin which the Al Queda affiliated Islamic thugs began then the media desperately carries water for them comparing the fighting t

Another Day, Another (yawn) Anti-Semitic Boycott from England

" John Berger rallies artists for cultural boycott of Israel ," is the Guardian headline in much the same tone as the Guardian might report rallying artists to fight world famine or AIDS. Which is sensible enough since for Eurolefties Israel is in the same category as world hunger or AIDS, something very disgusting and awful they'd like to see blotted out. What follows is Berger's call by artists, musicians and various useless cultural wastes of culture to boycott Israel in order to "force a change in Israel's policies." Signed are 85 names, of which only ten are listed on the off chance anyone has heard of them, and most haven't. There will no doubt be wailing and weeping in the cafes of Haifa at the prospect of being deprived of the films of Ken Loach, the writings of Arundhati Roy and the music of Brian Eno. If you have no idea who any of these people are, congratulations you haven't missed much. They're mainly the sorts of people who woul

After 40 Days of Prison, Trial of 14 Year Old Girl Comes to an End

Dear friends shalom, The travesty of justice in Chaya's case has finally come to an end. On 22 Sivan 5765 {29.06.05} Chaya decided to lend moral support to her friends who went to protest Ariel Sharon's plan to expel Jews. What follows is a direct quote from the official indictment filed against Chaya. She is accused of standing on a sidewalk while her friends proceeded to block traffic. After her friends were arrested a policewoman asked Chaya to leave the area. Chaya refused, saying that she wasn't doing anything illegal, that she had every right to stand on "every inch of the Land of Israel". The policewoman, unimpressed, warned Chaya that if she didn't leave immediately she would be arrested. To which Chaya replied:" So, shut up and arrest me then". That's it. This is the case that the State of Israel has against Chaya. And, because Chaya participated in a similar demonstration once before, the State prosecutor asked the juvenile court to re
